We recently relaunched our Manchester Tart Didsbury Gin. Inspired by the classic Mancunian dessert, it offers nostalgic flavours from the popular tart. There’s an initial burst of raspberry gives way to bold velvet textures of vanilla, then a subtle hint of coconut. This is all underpinned by the classic, piney juniper.
It’s a unique expression for the adventurous drinker to be enjoyed with a mixer, for sipping or in cocktail innovations. Here are some of our favourite cocktails to make the most of this flavour!

The Clover Club
You’ll Need:
50ml Manchester Tart Didsbury Gin
25ml dry vermouth
1 egg white
15ml lemon juice
15ml raspberry syrup or raspberry jam
3 raspberries on a cocktail stick to garnish
Method:
Add all ingredients to a shaker and dry shake (no ice) to break up the egg and ensure it’s mixed in.
Add ice and shake for 30 seconds to chill the cocktail.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with three speared raspberries.

Gin Sour
You’ll Need:
50ml Manchester Tart Didsbury Gin
30ml fresh lemon juice
15ml simple syrup/raspberry syrup
3 dashes aromatic bitters/vanilla bitters
Optional: 15ml egg white
Method:
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
If using egg white, dry shake with no ice first. Then shake with ice for 30 seconds so the egg breaks up and mixes in well.
Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
Serve and enjoy.

Manchester Kiss
You’ll Need:
25ml Manchester Tart Didsbury Gin (or to taste)
15ml raspberry or cherry liqueur
Champagne to top up (prosecco works too)
Raspberries or cherries, to garnish
Method:
Shake the gin and liqueur with ice for 30 seconds or until chilled.
Strain into a chilled champagne flute, then top up with champagne.
Garnish with a few raspberries.
